A Weekend at the Lake and No Expectations

We made plans with all of our girlfriends from college. Everyone was going to try to make it and then it all fell apart at the last minute. We (I) decided we should get to Florence and help Ashlee move into her new store. It's a lot of work and she's doing it alone with a little help here and there. I thought we could get up there and knock a lot of it out while catching up with the best of friends.

Turns out, Ashlee needed to spend time with Charlee Beth before she ran back to college herself and I was coming down with the flu. We changed all the plans Saturday morning and Daphney, Nat and I decided to head back to Lake Mitchell for the night and continue the weekend of no expectations. I was feeling bad and filled my body with drugs and oils and vitamin C trying to feel better, but was sound asleep by 8:30pm.

Funny how big plans turn into nothing and old friends go with the flow with no expectations. I love that. I love that we can try, but know that if it doesn't work out, there will always be a next time.

It's funny really. They come to the front door and walk into my open concept living area that's full of light and just kind of take in all the architectural accents that are in and about the room. Then I escort them downstairs.
