I was asked to do a Tablescape for the Birmingham Home and Garden show earlier this year. One of my friends, Betty Bussey, is the spokesperson for The Lovelady Center. A center that is empowering women so they can return to society as well-equipped women of God. Read more about how the center helps women on their website.
Betty went to the Lovelady Thriftstore and found the tableware. I was in charge of a table and the fluff! Since it needed to be inspiring and one lucky person was going to win it, we went with a Fall theme.
I needed backup and knew I could call in a few favors from some of my favorite local companies. I called Lexi with Evolutia Made and asked if I could borrow one of their handcrafted, reclaimed wood tables. Of course, she obliged because they are an awesome company. The table they let us borrow was gorgeous and you can have one made like it, if you please! They do custom work and when you start following them on social media, you will swoon with delight in all they do!
So, we have a table, we have dinnerware, we need fluff! I also grabbed a piece of reclaimed wood from Evolutia to use as a runner down the middle of the table. Next, I called on my good friend, Daniel McCurry of Father Nature Landscapes of Birmingham. There is some serious gardening eye candy on their social media pages! I asked Daniel for a centerpiece of succulents. I trusted him so much, I didn’t even need to see it before I picked it up! Can I tell you that I did NOT want to give it away!! It was gorgeous!!
Lastly, I ran down to the local farmers market and grabbed some fancy gourds of all shapes and colors! They are my favorite for Fall decor!!
