December 14, 2015 | Manic Monday

by Lucy Farmer December 14, 2015

How do Mondays get going so quickly and then they are gone. With a list a mile long and heads spinning with all there is to do? I had lots of in-office plans for today, but I ended up taking JC to the orthodontist and to California Pizza Kitchen for lunch afterward. I had to deliver prisms to Oh My Sole in Helena and looked for a candle for Emma’s cheer big sister. Who knew that would be such a task? I ended up going to the Summit where Great Bear Wax was set up at West Elm. {OH, did I tell you I’ll be there on Thursday? I will! come see me.} I bought several scents from him and hopefully one will work for Emma’s friend. It’s such a hard thing to buy for a teenager!! They exchanged gifts and I think she liked it! ?

I was gone all day, though! So hard to then come home and try to work. I’m so much more productive in the mornings! Are you? What are your good times of day? I had a meeting at 3:30 and it lasted almost two hours. When you’re brainstorming and just can’t stop!!

Connor had a dinner and was going to hear Condoleeza Rice speak. Can you say jealous? She’s so smart and I would love to hear her speak. I couldn’t wait for him to get home and tell me all about her. I would have totally pulled a photo op out of that one! He didn’t. So respectful!

I sent out word on social media about Emma’s wreck. It’s so hard for me to put things like that out there. I don’t want to talk about her business and I don’t want sympathy, but it’s not a bad thing for people to feel empathetic. I have so many friends whose kids are driving or will be this year. It’s a tough time and we have to be there for each other. It’s the best kind of support! Thanks to everyone who sent such kind comments. It’s nice to know you have people praying for you and thinking of you.

When Someone Walks into My Workshop
When Someone Walks into My Workshop

It's funny really. They come to the front door and walk into my open concept living area that's full of light and just kind of take in all the architectural accents that are in and about the room. Then I escort them downstairs.
