Pepper Place Maker Village 6.4.16
I'm so excited to be a part of the Pepper Place Maker Village this Summer! It's set just outside of Oven Bird restaurant in Birmingham, Alabama. The Pepper Place Market has been around for many years and it's always been a fun atmosphere for buying produce from local farmers. Recently, they have expanded and invited local makers to set up shop. This year, the Year of the Alabama Maker, they have set aside an area calling it the Maker Village. After many attempts at reaching me, Ruthann, finally got me to commit to a few Saturdays! I'm enlisting Emma and friends to help me manage the market this summer. I think it will be good experience for them to see how to sell and how hard it is to set up and tear down! These events aren't for the weak!
We will set up for the first time June 4. We have to be ready for shoppers by 7:30am. I'm excited to be setting up with some of my favorite Alabama Makers like, Botaniko, We Have Doughnuts and Digs Design! Check out the other makers and farmers that will be there on the website. It's a great early morning outing!
